🎬 Evening Relaxation
🎬 Evening Relaxation mailto:shirley@movementinmind.uk Guided meditation to help with relaxation.
The relaxation is between 10 and 15 minutes long. You can access it any time during the session timings.
You do not need to be feeling stressed or anxious for this session. In fact, it can be more effective if you initially practise it when you are calm. Over time, it will become easier to do when feeling stressed or anxious. Like most things, the more you practice, the better you become at it, and the quicker the relaxation response will “kick in” when you really need it.

🎬 Restful Sleep Meditation
🎬 Restful Sleep Meditation mailto:shirley@movementinmind.uk Restful sleep is something that we all need but some find it difficult to achieve. It allows our bodies to heal and our minds to sort through any problems, so that we can think calmly and clearly. Meditation is a way to access a slower brain frequency state that is similar to when we are sleeping. This allows for the creative brain to activate and begin the process of organising thoughts and developing solutions.
These guided meditations will help you go into a very relaxing state to allow yourself the deep sleep that your body needs. The deeply relaxing background music has been created to activate the delta brainwaves associated with deep dreamless sleep and which are linked to healing, recovery and pain relief.

🖥️ Dynamic Qi Gong
11:00 AM – 11:30 AM 🖥️ Dynamic Qi Gong Zoom - Online mailto:shirley@movementinmind.uk In these sessions we take familiar Qi Gong and Shibashi movements and look at them through a different lens. Laban’s movement theories, Bartenieff fundamentals, Movement Psychotherapy principles, somatic experiencing and other mindful and body oriented concepts all play their part in deepening appreciation and re-framing understanding of the forms. In this way, the practice becomes a truly internal art which is relevant to the inner world view of the individual.
When we dare to think differently and decide to expand our thinking, we instill fresh energy in our drained mindset. By infusing new life into our neural web, we create inner space in our journey to self-knowledge and deeper insight.( Lost dreams)”
― Erik Pevernagie

Qi Gong for Wellbeing (Studio)
3:15 PM – 4:00 PM Qi Gong for Wellbeing (Studio) Studio mailto:shirley@movementinmind.uk Qi Gong, pronounced “chi gong,” was developed in China thousands of years ago as part of traditional Chinese medicine. It involves using exercises to optimize energy within the body, mind, and spirit, with the goal of improving and maintaining health and well-being. Qi Gong has both psychological and physical components and involves the regulation of the mind, breath, and body’s movement and posture.
In Qi Gong for Wellbeing
Breath is slow, long, and deep. Movements are typically gentle and smooth, aimed for relaxation.
Mind regulation includes focusing one’s attention and visualization. Dynamic (active) techniques primarily focus on body movements, especially movements of the whole body or arms and legs. Meditative (passive) techniques can be practiced in any posture that can be maintained over time and involve breath and mind exercises.
